League Course Play
League Course Play
There is a scores spreadsheet on Scores & Stats page of this website. Handicaps are calculated using last years scores and/or the first week's scores of the current season to get a truer representation of handicaps to start.
Max strokes per hole is +5 so on a par 3, pick up your ball after your 8th stroke and so on. Par 4 = 9, Par 5 = 10.
Scoring is 2 points a hole and 2 points overall, 1 point if you tie- 20 total points available
Subs are guests and can get in on any of the contest for that week's round (Skins, Closest to the Hole, etc...) Subs will pay $10 to sub for that week, payable before teeing it up. League players are encouraged to find a sub but are not penalized if the are unable to.
You will play the course when your opponent is absent. Please see the League Rules for scoring formula and an example of how to score.
The full league schedule is posted on the Schedule page. The championship play offs will be played in week 18.
With 12 players this year, we will be playing as foursomes, rather than splitting a head to head match. If people are absent causing us to have a twosome, the twosome should tee off first whenever possible.
Winter rules will apply - clean mud off, roll out of hole (embedded), no closer to hole and you cannot roll out of trouble (from behind tree or other obstacle). Basic common sense, lift clean and place. If questions, simply ask the person you are playing and let that be the final decision. Other than that, standard rules of golf.
We’ll have a Committee of Fore consisting of Brian Voss, Jeff Converse, Eric McDonald and Leigh McBain that can determine and settle any issue that arises. This information has been made available to everyone by being posted here so if there are any bitches, complaints, or better ideas please let us know so we can be discussed.
Please see the League Rules page for additional information.
